VOCABULARY IV


  • Hoovering: antigua manera de nombrar a las aspiradoras.
  • Heat: calentar. The condition or quality of being hot.
  • Treadmill: máquina de correr. A mill powered by walking on a series of moving steps that form a continuous path.
  • To get in shape: To be fit. To be healthy.
  • Look up to: Admirar a alguien. To regard with admiration or respect.
  • Unknown: Desconocido. Not known, unfamiliar.
  • State: Estado. The condition of a person or thing with respect to circumstances or experiences; the way something is.
  • Real estate: Inmobiliaria. The plaze were are sold furnitures.
  • To borrow: Tomar prestado. To obtain (something) with a promise to return it.
  • To let: Dejar. To allow or permit.
  • Bury: Enterrar. To put (a dead body) in the ground or a vault, or into the sea, often with ceremony.
  • To locate: Find a location.
  • Remote control: Control remoto. Out of the way, secluded.
  • Plug: Enchufe. An attachment at the end of an electrical cord, inserted into a socket for electric power.
  • Scrub: Fregar. To rub hard with a brush, cloth, etc., in washing.
